Title: Loopy marries Nevada and loses 20lbs

Most of it unsprung
Gained soft, compliant and quiet suspension, has 5.5 inches of travel
And Grimeca calipers, Brembo floaters, it stops

Only bolted it up today but first test over one of my local corrugated dirt roads that got clunks out of the original forks no matter what I tried, some good hairpins to bed brakes in and a short motorway blast.
Used all but an inch, it’s pretty close at first go, harder tests to follow
Je suis content (content means so much more in French)
Shame to lose some pretty bits but the price of looking good was too much for me. Bits stay ready for restorer one day,

Was very easy, same task to fit late cali or even modern V7 Marzocchis, I used original V700 steering stem, only needed to fab a bush top and bottom to fit Nevada yokes , some preload washers and a knock off Borrani rim ,rest is oe Guzzi (bars, switches and speedo were fitted prior)

Crucify at will, I can take it

Stock internals? I wonder what the weight diff from Nevada to Loop is?
Anyway, looks good, obviously not a stock setup, but if it works- it works!

I like it.  :thumb:  Lighter with better brakes!  Just make sure the fender will clear the engine under hard braking. Don't ask how I know :embarrassed:   :grin:

Thanks for posting this! I'm trying to figure out the best option to adapts discs to my '73 with sidecar and this one is another to think about, alongside  Suzuki gsxr, 850T/Convert fork conversion. It seems whichever option you choose, it's about $1000 after adding fork, hub, adapters, discs, calipers, etc. Probably more.

Nice work and good looking. Lost 20 pounds and increased a cup size.

Never.  I hesitated to even post that.  I love that that front end could be grafted onto a loop.
