Title: NGC~ Old iMac use as display for Raspberry 400
Post by: jcctx on November 22, 2021, 02:34:32 PM
I have an old iMac (intel) that is no longer supported by Apple that is now refusing to redirect to other sources. Would like to use the display for my Raspberry 400 as cheap TVs are no proving satisfactory! Anyone know if this can be done. The display is excellent and it seems a shame to discord???

You could try shut off both units and connect them (I bet it's too old to have a thunderbolt port ) with what ever, power them up and press command +F2 on the iMac.. that how I use my iMac with MacBook Pro.

If the Mac has a mini display port or thunderbolt port yes it can be done.
