I'm not looking to buy the cable. Already have one.
What I would like to know is if one of the bluetooth OBDII adapters can be used instead of the cable?
I know they work for cars to connect to code reader software on a phone for instance. Will it work with the Guzzi computer?
The cable requires power to work. Is the power needed for the cable itself? Or to power the bikes computer so it can be read by Guzzidiag?
If you have used one of the bluetooth adapters. Which one did you buy?
Thank you,
Tom

I use a bluetooth dongle on my MyECU from my Android tablet. I don't recall anyone doing it for GuzziDiag but haven't followed it all along.
You may want to ask Beetle or read through the pages of using it.
At least I answered.

And I thank you!!

Would you plug the dongle into the diag plug on bike?

No, you would still need the obd adapter cable to connect to the bike. The bluetooth dongle would just replace the obd to usb cable.
I did a quite long search. Couldn't find an answer whether the bluetooth dongle will do the same function as the FTDI chip cable. I'm thinking???? that if Guzzidiag can see the bluetooth device, it should???? work???

I recall someone - possibly Beetle, using a bluetooth dongle to communicate with ScanM5X on their phone to see live readings.
Try asking on Grisoghetto.com

Mark could use an icy pole stick in the ignition switch and somehow get it to work...
People like me, just do what they’re told and they MIGHT be successful.

I have an almost permanent error code on my V7III, I thought I might see what a regular car reader makes of it, Nada.
I think the Guzzi version of CANbus is different than most cars.

Just got a note from Beetle -----GuzziDiag is NOT dongle able no bluetooth.

Well that's a bummer  Thought it might be nice to connect without being tethered by a wire. Oh well.
Thank you!

Since it looks like the OBD bluetooth adapter for a car probably won't work. I looked into maybe a device that would take a usb cable and turn it into bluetooth. Something like a small multi port usb hub to bluetooth.
I did find a few. Not sure if they worked on a Win system, but I phone was supported. Only down side was that they seem to only work for a keyboard and mouse. Probably not enough throughput for what I need.
The problem is that my new tablet uses the micro usb port for the charge port. No problem as long as your just using the tablet. But if you want to add a usb device, you either charge or use the device.
I could get a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, but that still leaves the cable for Guzzidiag.
