Title: V85 up grade
Post by: rudyr on December 05, 2021, 01:00:58 PM
Doses any want to up grade their pre 2021 V85, move the oxygen sencer. Up to the exhaust port.  Got a complete system, pull off 2021 V85 traveler.  Let you connect to your cat or muffler.  Make me a offer.  Plus freight and handeling.  Something to tinker with on these cold winter nites.Rudy

I’m not for sure yet.  My V85 is a really good bike( keep it between 4K &5K)for best performance.  But it weight only about 500 lbs.but I can’t lift it (I know and back into it) I still can’t lift it, I think because so much weight high off point of contact.  I ride a lot to deep and dark places by myself.  I have got to be able to lift by my self.  How about a Triumph 900 adventure low. I can’t lift mine either but I Don’t worry because you can always find help eventually.Bike lying down doesn’t hurt it while getting help to pick it up.

Rudy,

You might consider looking into something like these:

There are also other similar products out there.

I have the Dirt Napper, as I often ride alone.  Having had five — yes, really — hernia surgeries, I have more mesh in me than a fishing trawler and no desire for adding more.

I almost always have it when I take the Stornello off pavement, and with all on solo trips far from home.  That said, WRT latter, I also carry enough cash to than the young bubbas who usually come along while I am feeling sorry for myself.

Bill
