GRRRR,
The 10th such response to my ads for the '03 V11 Sport Naked. I'd love to get my hands on the throats of these scum-suckers.
Ron

Are you getting those from here? If so, I need their usernames so I can escort them out the door.

I got the same sort of thing from an ad I had on craigslist recently.

Luap,
Thanks for the reply, but I strongly doubt that any of these are sourced w/in our brotherhood (or, is it Guzzihood? LOL). We've all been riders long enough to know what kind of questions someone interested in a bike will ask. These creatures always jump right to how to arrange payment and/or shipping.. phishing for personal information or money from me. " The shipper requires a $200.00 deposit, I propose we split the fee, send money to......"

Yes, most are scammers, but speaking as someone who scans a lot of listings I have to admit that occasionally I shoot out a response to an ad asking for a price or a detail only to reread the ad right after and find out that the info I wanted was in the post!

Boy I like that bike Ron.. sadly I'm too far away to make a deal due to shipping costs etc. plus I'm not really in the market because my garage is full of cars now.

Well, you didn’t get scammed so I wouldn’t necessarily characterize Robert as a scammer. He was simply exploring an opportunity from a potential weak or desperate seller. Just not the buyer you’re looking for, and not really different from trying to negotiate down the price of a new car at the dealership. One side is going to say “no.”
