anyone been there done that?
loop tank on a tonti frame?
easy fit? possible? nightmare? is the 'scallop' wide enough?
cheers
-
The "tunnel" of the Loop tank isn't wide enough to clear the Tonti-frame's horizontal top tubes, so it would end up sitting on top of them.

thanks charlie

Mark at MG Classics has done it. I’ve also seen loopframe tins on a California Vintage at Billy Joel’s shop. Reconstruction is required.

I think this might be the bike you're talking about?

The Billy Joel/Bruce Springsteen bike has Loop inspired bodywork, but AFAIK it was all custom-made from scratch.

Yes Jay, that’s it. I think you’re correct Charlie, the tank was MUCH longer. If Guzzi would sell that exact thing, I’d buy it. Needs the square to round fin conversion to hang some Eldo valve covers on it.

Yes,
I would love to fit that Tank and Seat and side covers and bags on my Calvin!
