This week I’m planning on replacing my alternator belt. I think I can figure that out from what I read here. I know it’s best to takeoff the fuel tank and I’m planning on doing.
Last time I removed the fuel tank, I messed up the fuel line coupling under the gas tank. I ordered and have a New “Y” fuel line with a new coupling from Harpers.
Question… How easy is it to thread the two fuel lines down to the two fuel injectors?
And how do you attach the fuel lines to the injectors?
Is there a special connector?
Thanks

I haven't looked in a while, but I THINK that they are the 'heat up and slip on' semi flexible black plastic type. The Injector has a barbed fitting that the black line shrinks up to when the line cools.
Back in 2015 Dave Richardson taught me a trick to get that coupler apart.
1. Lift tank and unplug electric connection to FP
2. Turn on Key and press starter button, this relieves pressure making dissasembly easier
3. Lift tank and prop up the rear, grab the fuel line with your middle, ring and pinky finger and press towards barb. This will take pressure off the teeth in the coupler
4. Pinch the collar and pull it back and then kind of wiggle it, and it 'should' come off.
I had the tank on and off the Norge 2X a week trying to run down a running problem (wouldnt rev past 6K) Has worked every time on the Norge, 1200S and V7. I think the MGX had a different coupler arrangement, but I still did steps 1-3.
