Yes, some very vnice vintage ones, but I am surprised NOT to see any V7 Sports, Le Mans, Daytona's, Centauro's, etc. on the docket this year (??) Maybe after the first of the year, a few will pop up...
My friend Mike and I are going Fri.-Sat. , so we'll file a report... :thumb:   :boozing:
-
I’ll be there !!! Don’t have much of a budget unfortunately….. I did see the GTV last week at blue moon
-
Cool bikes. I too like the Galleto.

What is the Blue Moon? And anyone else notice the bent handlebar brackets (easy to straighten) and spots of missing chrome? Wish they would put more machine specific info in the descriptions - 3 paragraphs of boilerplate and only 2 sentences with any info on the bike.

Blue Moon in Norcross, Georgia.
Used to be a BMW dealership for many years(and Guzzi for a spell).
2 floors of antique motorcycles most for sale. Great old names long gone now..

Thanks Tazio. I'm pretty clueless, I was thinking it might be a casino in Vegas!

I absolutely agree on the Bennelli I can easily envision you turning it into one of your jewels. Definite "Deal of the day"

The benelli was VERY rough !!! In my opinion parts only. The blue lodola was advertised as restored, the buyers going to be surprised. It probably was restored 20 yr ago…. The tank was full of rust !! The red galletto was ok…. Money was right on. The red lodola and the Airone are nice !!!! The gtv is an older and not the best restoration. I’ll be on it if it goes cheap, most likely it won’t. I took second place on a ‘35 velocette GTP. I figured 3-4K 5k was my max, it sold for 5300
Just my 2 pennies
Thx dave

Is there any opportunity to see / hear the bikes running before the sale? I always wonder about the mechanical condition of the Mecum bikes.

ABC, NBC, or CBS?
That's all I get on my TV other than a couple locals.

Sounds like a house of ill repute..

Some of the sellers provide a video of start up and running. Otherwise, it ran when new….
A, crapshoot
Also, the tan galletto is pretty nice should do 8-10k

That’s what I assumed, I would be sceptical of any seller claims of mechanical integrity and running without seeing a video, but I suppose if the price is right the risk of getting a lemon is acceptable. This is why I most always buy worn out crap and rebuild the whole lot.
Good luck with bidding on the GTV, hopefully your the only serious buyer when it comes up.

Man there’s a lot of nice bikes there.. heavy on HD and Triumph of course. And enduro style bikes. But gems all over and some are quite affordable.
If I have been registered I would’ve been very tempted to bid on this BSA, which ended up going for $5000.

That BSA for $5,000 was a good buy, IMHO.
My buddy Mike and I driving early tomorrow, (4.5 hours)...should roll in about 12 noon. We are staying two nights at the South Point. Will take and post photos as always. :thumb:
A small contingency of "The Usual Suspects" from the Phoenix area already there now.
We will gather about 4-5pm tomorrow evening (Friday), at "The Lobby Bar" (a different name now ??) next to the front registration desk. We always take a group photo. Please feel free to join us!  :thumb: :boozing:

I dodn't see any more Guzzi's on the block today but I think this Motobi is a beauty
Motobi 125 Imperiale Sport sold for $7150 - Lot T133
https://www.mecum.com/lots/LV0122-489032/1964-motobi-125-imperiale-sport/

If money were no object the Galletto would be going home with me . Thanks Jim .
Dusty
If money was no object, you'd be bidding against me! I especially love the yellow Galletto.

I’m jealous! I watched online here and there today and was surprised at how many really nice bikes went for very reasonable prices. The pre-war HDs are outrageous, but plenty of cool bikes for less than $10,000 — Velocettes, BSAs, etc.
-
WOW, the Airone sold for 21k with fees !!! It was nice, probably very nice. But without the engine cases and other aluminum parts not properly finished I’m surprised
-
Would like to fetch a 200 cc NSU Lambretta, but a Galetto ,....
-
The red lodola 235 did 14,500 with fees. It was nice!! Proper finish on almost all surfaces engine side covers not polished. Top $$. Quality sells
-
And for Rick, the original imme did 24k with fees !!!

Thats a huge number for an Airone, makes me fell a little better about the $$$ I have sunk into mine knowing it will be hard to ever get my money back, not that its my intention to sell it. I have seen some nice Airones go for around $10K so this is surprising.
https://www.mecum.com/lots/LV0122-489271/1956-moto-guzzi-airone-250/
-
Yes Airone’s are usually 8-10. 20 is a nice Falcone
Again, the really high quality is fetching big $$
That’s got to be a record price on both the Airone and lodola???
-
I keep finding myself surprised by which bikes will command a hefty price and which seem like steals. The pre-war HDs all go for outrageous sums, regularly 100k, not entirely unexpected though. But the 1970s Kawasakis were upwards of 30K? Meanwhile a stunning Socal style 1946 Triumph build by Bryan Thompson goes for 15K? And a flawless 1955 Matchless restored by the British Motorcycle Museum goes for $5200? One lesson seemed to be that, outside of the Vincents, British bikes are on the decline.
-
It’s always tough to figure out the prices. The one common thread is that a VERY high quality restoration will bring big money !!! Several of the mid ‘70 kawi have been restored by a place in Cali. They are fantastic, I can’t find one thing out of place !! WAY better than they ever were new

Not a bad price for a low mileage bike. Black isn't the prettiest but it is the rarest. The new owner will need to check for recalls and order a transmission bracket from Don at Motiv. Perhaps a PC or Guzzidiag too.

The nicest galletto and the gtv both sold at 12,100 all in. It was a fair price on the gtv I came in second place again….argh

From what little I can tell from the listing pictures the GTV looks like a decent rider provided it is a runner,
https://www.mecum.com/lots/LV0122-503259/1952-moto-guzzi-gtv/
price sure seems decent and with some detail work, rechrome the shiny parts, replace / install some of the rubber parts and add a fishtail muffler it would look much better.
Good money for the Galletto, it looked to be real nice.

That light yellow Galetto was amazing.
