The 2017 V9's are very under rated bikes. My Bobber has been a great ride and met all of my expectations.

Thats a super deal, not even run in, it should have 5,000 miles left on the original rubber, a great fly and ride.

I’ve ridden a lot of Guzzi over the years, and the v9 Roamer is the overall most satisfying for me. Looks like a great deal to me.

I’ve heard a lot of folks speak highly of the V9 motor, I have never been on one.
I would have bought the V85 if it was released with the V9 motor at a reduced price. By all accounts, it feels more “Guzzi like...”
But I’m happy with mine.

This is about 1.5 hrs from me ... hummmm. Interesting the ad has been up 21 days at this point. A bit tempting but I am just not that interested in a Roamer. And the garage is kind of full. But that is a great price.

I’m glad this is on the opposite end of the country. Now that I’m in the midst of installing a sidecar to my V7, I keep wondering if I should get a V9 instead.

I know nothing about sidecar rigs, but having owned both bikes, I can't tell you the V9 has way more grunt than the V7II. Way more.

You and Bad Chad are certainly influencing my consideration. The positive is that the V7, no matter what year, has both more horsepower AND torque than the Ural that I owned for nearly half a year, so I might find myself content enough. The Ural's peak torque occurs around under 2,000 RPM, compared to the V7 at ~2,600 RPM (I think), giving more immediate pull power. If I did eventually go for a V9, I'd most likely do the tank swap like you--for both aesthetics and fuel range, as the sidecar will most likely drop my fuel economy down to around 30 mpg, methinks.
The SECOND positive, is if I do choose to go for a V9 one day, the bike-side mounts for the sidecar will work on that, since both use the small block frame.
A V9, especially a 2021 V9, would make for a solid enough hack; just enough power to comfortably do highway speeds.

LOL! Don't tempt me. I do have a Beemer riding friend in the Berkeley hills I could ask that favor...
Really, I'm still having the old debates. SB vs BB. New, newer or keep the "vintage" Tonti's.
Definitely would have to drastically reduce the stockpile of older Tonti "parts" to justify a V9 or new V7.
That would make Helen happy. :wink:

Again I am only 3 hours away and would be happy to pick it up. It could hang out in my shop with my V7 and T120 until it could be retrieved. No strings attached and no skin off my nose. Just happy to see a Guzzi find a good home.

Has anyone else contacted the seller? I did... his ad implies text only, so I texted him and we had several exchanges. I got quotes for shipping the bike to me... thought about it some more and asked him (by text) if I could call him (even at $4k, that's a lot to just Venmo a stranger....). Never heard another word from him. Still not sure it works/makes sense for me, but I am interested.

I loved ‘em all in their own ways but after 5 different 1100 Calif models, 2 8V Grisos, a Norge, a small tank Stelvio, 2 V7 models, a 1400 Eldo, and a V9…the latter Roamer still remains my favorite. My heart will always kind of be with an 1100 hydro but the Roamer wins out in the end for me.

I'm in San Francisco, 40 miles away, I texted the owner I wanted to come see the bike Sat(today0, Sun, or Monday, no response. 4k I'm all in, but so far no response to my text, must be sold but the ad is still up, I will update the group once I get in touch with the seller.
