Totally agree with this review, it's all about the ride.  Having made a short list to test ride, the V85 was the first and I didn't ride the others, just paid me money and rode off and never looked back.

they bike has a unique feel that can't really be explained to someone who has never ridden a Guzzi.  It must be the sideways V. 
I rode someone else's stone for a few miles many years before I got my first Guzzi and never forgot that feel and as soon as I test rode a V7ii, it came right back to me.
