Great game last night!
The Bills and Josh Allen played their hearts out.
I must admit that with 13 seconds left I had to turn it off, my heart couldn’t handle it. Only to turn it back on and find out that the Chiefs win in overtime!
Been watching the replays all day. :thumb:

I don’t get why these teams go to these so called prevent defenses when time is running out.It reduces the games to kind of a touch football game where the star QBs have all time in the world to do what they do best, eventually somebody gets open and game over.
-
definitely a matter of luck loss and win.

Bills coach Sean McDermott made 2 horrendous coaching decisions in the final two minutes. First he went into a prevent defense after the Bills final touchdown and again when the Cheifs got the ball with 32 seconds left. A guaranteed way to lose given the Chiefs offensive abilities.
Second the Bills should have squib kicked on their last kickoff in regulation. He opted for a normal kickoff that took no time off the clock when every second counted.
The Bills still cannot stop the run when they need to. KC got around 180 yds rushing. Their #1 rated defense did not play like that at all.
But, make no mistake. the Bills will be back. Josh Allen is unreal.
Josh Allen vs Patrick Mahomes will be a great matchup going forward.

Absolutely crazy finish…3-4 lead changes in the last few minutes
Some have pointed out KC was not called for taunting on the touchdown, kc guy was wagging a finger

I'm in Buffalo. We give Mahomes full credit. Our guy Allan was just as amazing. We all figured last team with the ball would win.
-
That kickoff into the endzone was really stupid. I was screaming at the screen over the stupidity. A short kick would have left time for only one play. I'm an Any Reid fan tho, so it's ok. I think Josh Allen deserved a better fate.

I'm not a sports fan at all but this game was one of the most exciting things I've ever watched.

Awesome game, Bills are my AFC team, as I started pulling for them before my terrible Panthers were even conceived of for expansion.
Bittersweet to see so many former Panthers move on to great success in Buffalo. Sean McDermott did screw up on that last kick, but he is a great coach. We sure miss him as OC in Carolina. Josh Allen, cant believe he struggled so mightily in Charlotte, but has developed into one of the league's best!
KC was just incredible, one of the greatest football games I have ever seen!

One of the best games I have ever seen. Does make me wish they would change the overtime to a fixed length so both teams get a chance.

There is always discussion of this after big OT games... I think the NFL made a pretty good compromise by eliminating 'win with a field goal' and requiring a TD to walk-off in OT. I guess nothing is perfect, and there is still a lot of luck involved. There's two sides of the ball and it's just as important for the Defense to stop a score as it is for the Offence to get down there and score a TD.
The 'sudden death/first team to score a TD' rule works for me. But it would be cool to see both offences take turns... that game might have gone on for hours and ended up 90-83!

Hah, and they say defenses win playoffs/championships!
I’d say Both defenses were totally gassed after that much offense.

I agree. I would like to see both teams get a possession before the game is called.

What? No MotoGP?!! Last season was spectacular.

Anyone else remember the KC game with Ed Podolak that was like this one?

This.
Whoever won the coin toss was going to win the game. As we say in Indiana.. "That ain't rat." Over the course of a game, defensive guys work a lot harder than offensive guys. They all "run to the ball" on every play.

I believe they should change the rules to a full quarter instead of the first score wins.

+1 on this. Sudden death via TD after initial OT period.
