I think the time has come. After 30 years and over 160,000 miles, I am about to put my 1991 R100GS on the block. Next birthday is my 80th, and it's time to start clearing out the garage. My new 2021 Kawasaki W800 will become my main (and most likely) only bike. Things could be a lot worse! The little Kaw should be a sweet ride.
The Beemer is high mileage, but cosmetically and mechanically in pretty fair shape.
First, I will be advertising her on the Classified sites on BMWMOA and BMWRA. I've had good luck working thru these sites in the past.
I contacted my son and asked if there was some way he could make my Excel maintenance spreadsheet accessible by simply clicking a link. Answer 'yes.' "We can move it to GoogleDisk (or maybe it was GooglePage.)" In either case, the spreadsheet can be opened by simply clicking on the link, and it'll pop up looking like a read-only Excel spreadsheet. Lots of good info on it.
I'll also need to create the ad copy for the Classifieds.
I will keep you folks notified on what, if anything, is going on with the sale. Once posted, I think any of you that want can see the ad by going to either BMWMOA Classifieds or BMWRA Classifieds. If you have any interest, you can always drop me a note here on WG.

I think you mean Google Docs. But actually more correctly, Google Sheets, which is essentially an online Google version of Excel. I used it a ton when I worked out officiating schedules and rosters for roller derby tournaments. If your kin starts slacking off, feel free to reach out, and I’ll be happy to help.
Best of luck selling! I was infatuated with the R100GS for a moment recently. Especially love that solo seat w/ fender rack that extends to a rear rack. Guzzi copied that on their TTs.

Dirk,
Thanks for clarifying what my son had done to make the spreadsheet available. My bike doesn't have the solo saddle with rear rack, but the standard saddle with room for a passenger, and a small rear rack behind it. Thanks for the offer of some help. At this time, Dave, my son has been really good about providing me with help with Excel, and now this. I think I'm good.

Bob. Hope you don’t mind; seems a shame not to have a photo in this thread. It’s a beautiful bike.

Bob: We have met at various rallies in Ohio. I have enjoyed hearing about your long love affair with this bike. I am sure that whoever the lucky new care-taker is will cherish it as much as you have for the next 30 years. I still look forward to seeing you on the Kawi at Zanesville.

If I make 80, I sure hope I'm still riding.
