Title: (NGC) - need help engaging speaker phone during a call

Have a Samsung phone. When first placing a call the speaker icon is visible and can be engaged. The problem is that once the call has commenced the icon is no longer there and I cannot find anyway to switch to speaker if I want to. Cannot find a solution with a Google search.

I've got an A10 and IIRC when you put the phone to your ear the screen goes black, and should wake up to show the option you seek when you take it  away again.

Trouble is I can't remember what screen setting makes it do that.

If I remember I'll come back, but maybe you can work it out from there

Settings>Advanced Features>Motions and Gestures>Keep Screen On While Viewing     This is for Android 12
