So, part of me wishes I had gotten the Centenario, but I didn't want to twin it up with my cousin TOO much. We bought the bikes on the same day (2021 V7)
Now, this bike seems TOO black at times. I like a little contrast.
Has anyone painted over the flat paint on the Guzzi tank? Was it successful? I'm not talking full paint job, but maybe some accent stripes or something of that nature. Maybe Pinstripes?
I don't regret buying the bike at all - I love it. I just want a bit more contrast between the tank and the bike if possible. And not too expensive, of course.

I don't know a thing about painting but I like your idea. A matte on matte contrast color would look smart in my opinion. :bike-037:

What about a vinyl wrap type of cover??? Easy to change or just remove if you do not like it. Not sure if it would work but I am sure someone on here does. :thumb:

gloss red striping looks fantastic over flat black. I'd either pin stripe it of go with a 750S motif.

Why do you think it will be an issue. Do you mean from a technical perspective or aesthetically? No issues exist technically. The tank will almost certainly be a straight black base with a matt/sating clear coat.
Ciao

How about a stripe like the new 850 or the V7 Classic

Just hoping paint would stick to it without much prep. Thanks for your input.

I love stripes. Just not sure how to effectively get them with minimal cost and maximum durability.
Thanks for your response!

get your local vehicle vinyl wrap shop to cut you some stripes

Vinyl. There are plenty of places that will do it. My riding buddy had vinyl striping put on his Goldwing and his pickup truck. The Wing stripes are eight years old and the truck is five and both look like as good as the day they were applied. You can get any design or color you like. Anything from stripes to a full tank wrap is possible. Tired of it? Hit it with a hair dryer and peel it off. I put gold vinyl stripes on this 850 Suzuki I restored and they are five years old and looking good.

You could use vinyl / decals to do something like this:

Thanks for the info on the vinyl WRAP. I will look around and see who does that here in K town and get some prices.
Thank you ALL for your replies.
