Title: tripple clamp offset
Post by: acguzzi on March 22, 2022, 02:44:32 PM
I have had some stability issues with my 79 LeMans since I switched to Bridgestone slicks on my racebike, it has raised the rear. I also have 17inch wheels, which no doubt doesn't help, I know that modern bikes have much lower offset and there is also the 16/18 inch change that guzzi made on the later LeMans. So to the question: Does anyone know which guzzis have 40mm forks and 40mm (or thereabouts) offset so I can swap out my fork yokes. My alternative seems to be custom clamps and $$$.

Thanks

Alec

Send a PM, or otherwise grab Groover's attention. I know he knows Lemans fork information/data... and the Lemans IV's went to different fork offsets and materials, for that matter. They also have 40mm forktubes.

Good luck. Back in the day I had 45mm offset (vs 65 stock) triple clamps made by kosman for my 38mm marzocchi forks.
