Post by: nick949 on March 25, 2022, 03:34:39 PM
A litle bit of garage fun. Getting my Convert Transmission transported to have new bearings and seals.

Harmless and brief video:

Your videos are NOT harmless Nick.
They’re somewhat addictive. That mechanic isn’t Bob Seger is it..?

Last time I checked, if you counted seals, gaskets, o-rings, and crush washers, that box had north of twenty places it could possibly leak.

We found that the PO, before the PO had tried to fix a leak from the seal closest to the gearbox by spreading gasket goo around the seal, then covering the splines with clear silicone. Hmmm. Obviously my kind of guy.
