Title: Stornello prices
Post by: dxhall on March 30, 2022, 09:49:35 AM
Is this a realistic price?  Seems like they sold new for about that price.

Retail price was quite a bit higher, but most probably sold for way less.

I think at some point, a nice Stornello will command those type of prices of the above bike.. Mine can always go back to 100 % stock, in case that happens..

Seems like inflated dealer price plus current "bike shortage" inflated price added in.

The original MSRP of the Stornello was stupid high, $11,190!  Which was crazy.  Not sure if guys bought them at that price.  Towards the end of things they could be found new for around $7000 asking price (with some fees added on to that).

I feel they should be in the $6000-$6500 range these day.

For that bike, looks like zero modifications ... which could be a good thing I guess.  When I got mine it had the Hagon Enduro shocks (excellent!), and Hepco Becker engine protection bars.

I'd tell them to knock $1000 off for having the wrong color side covers

...or maybe the actually are black, and it's just the lighting.

I don't know that lighting would make black look like silver but you never know. When I bought my V7lll I only saw it in the showroom. When we wheeled it outside into the sunlight I was surprised to see that the seat was brown.

I paid $6495 from the dealer in Accident MD, and like BrandX, though highly modified can return 100% to stock in a couple hours.

It is a consignment shop, so the owner of the bike sets their price and the shop tacks on their consignment fees.

I’m surprised Guzzi stopped selling the scrambler variant. Triumph, BMW, all still sell theirs. Indian’s track-style bike still sells. Royal Enfield is making a Himalayan “scrambler”. The trend still looks like it’s popular enough to me.

I am more surprised they stopped the Racer for the 850 engine.

The racer didn't sell in my neck of the woods. All the other models would be gone but there would still be a couple of Racers still on the floor.
