Title: Road trip
Post by: mtiberio on April 15, 2022, 08:34:48 AM
Folks, I want to be at El Mirage dry lake (California) for LSR racing with my Guzzi on 5/13,14 and 15. To do that I'm taking the previous week to drive out and the following to drive back. To that end I need a co-driver who can take 2 weeks off for a trip of a lifetime (7th-22nd). Ride in an amazon delivery van/RV w/a terminal cancer patient. Camp for 2 days in the high desert. Experience the quintessential Southern California hotrod scene on the dirt. Hell, bring your gear and you can get licensed and make runs on my bike.

Obviously helps if I know you.

Mike

Do you come through iowa when you head out that way?  That sounds like a great time. :bike-037:

I'm not up for the trip but can treat you to a meal when you get to Okla City.

If you're going by Santa Fe, let me know.  I'd like to meet up with you.

Planning to stop enroute is problematic. Timing is tough

Sorry, I looked up the route and saw that I was to far off the beaten path.

That's a long haul.  I hope you can rest during some of that.

Good on you, Mike.  :thumb: I would love to do it, but the timing doesn't work for me. I'll just be getting back from a Walleye fishing trip with The Kid and grand Kid. Dorcia's kid and his kid will be coming here at that time to pick up our old Prius and a Chevy pickup loaded with woodworking stuff to drive to California, and I need to be here for that, too.
Sorry, wish I could, and best of luck. It *would* be the adventure of a life time and I've always wanted to do it.
Hang in there..

Are you planning to do I-81 to I-40?
