It's coming on 22 May.
I haven't seen a notice about it here. I'm thinking of wearing that Carabinieri jacket and ride the EV.
-
I would wear jeans and a T-shirt but with a REAL NICE watch
-
I'm in. Riding the G5 for the first time. Last year I got my girl to ride along. Was too damn hot, she says. Helmet messed up her hair.
Ya'll feel free to contribute by clicking the link. It really is for a good cause.

Last year: 37th largest ride of 834 globally. We've done pretty well.

So do you change your clothes when you get there? Or just ignore safety for the day.

You could wear your moto-X gear under the thrift store clothing.

In my experience, some people make modest concessions to fashion. Helmets are mandatory. Even in states where they’re not required by law. It varies significantly beyond that, kinda like in real life.
I actually did wear a Bohn mesh shirt with full armor under a sport coat one year, went back to a normal riding jacket subsequent years.
Wanna comment on the purpose of the event? The Lives impacted? The 30 million raised for Prostate research and mental health assistance? Anything?

I've done the ride every year since 2017, always used a different Guzzi for the event, but also have used my Ducati and RE Interceptor. It's fun, especially since the Guzzi's are few in my neck of the woods, so it's something different than what the usual participants bring. And it's to support several good causes. Here's my link if you want to sponsor me...I'll be riding my friend Matt's '74 850T that I just finished getting roadworthy.

I’m all for it! As a bladder cancer victim/survivor I’m all for the good the fund raising does! I lost my bladder, lymph nodes, prostate, and gall bladder to cancer. Six months of chemotherapy and surgeries but I’m still here and alive. They don’t do the Gentleman’s ride in Chattanooga anymore which is too bad!

Good question. I always wear safe gear but rather than a full face, I'll wear a 3/4 helmet. I'm wearing Carabinieri moto jacket that was mentioned here a couple of years ago and all the gear, gloves, earplugs, jeans and boots.
OTOH, I know some Triumph guys that wear kilts. One of the guys named Wallace claims it was his Scottish tartan. I don't get it but to each their own.

Prepping my V700 for the ride

I’m not sure I would “fit in”

Thanks Kip P for the donation :thumb:

I'd like to do it, but not active online to drum up a bunch of donations, not to mention there doesn't actually seem to be any scheduled here. I think the causes are great, and I think the idea of dressing up a bit is pretty cool. I got a steal on a couple of pair of beautiful TCX boots a while back, in black and brown, and have some decent black or brown pants. Not sure I'd be interested in going without Moto jacket. Would likely wear my leather AGV Sport.

You can still create a profile and, as you've done here, let people know! they can contribute and you can do the ride. Most rides start with 2-3 riders, and then at some point they reach out to Movember and it becomes and "official ride" In 2020 there was no offical ride due to -, and people did individual rides all over the globe and still raised funds. Do it! I bought a pair of TCX like you show and I'm amazed how comfortable they are, and Made In Italy!

3 out of 4 suicides are men.
I only know of only one organization which has organized specifically to combat this. Movember. And their once a year fundraiser is in 10 days. I'm participating, as I have for several years, and I would truly appreciate your help.
Click the link to make a donation. And thanks. I know this isn't a light hearted post, but it's a great event that depends on people stepping up, and I'm trying to do my part.

And you don't HAVE to donate to me! There are a few Wild Guzzi members doing this ride and any one of us would appreciate the 20 bucks. Just keeping this tops due to the fast approaching date!

Went to the Tampa DGR ride today, first one. I don't own any of the hipster type clothing that most riders had. Rode the Triumph today

Several Guzzis there, a few from the current local Guzzi dealer. Guided ride, not really long, thru Downtown St. Pete and Tampa Channelside, 30 some odd miles. was around 120-130 bikes maybe? Had police (FHP) escorts and blockers, one stop in the middle at a former dog track just at the foot of the bridge from St. Pete to Tampa. Good time and good cause. Next year I will dress the part

Things cooled off and we had a nice ride in OKC. Perhaps about 18 bikes. We cruised around the town. We were lead by a Ural sidecar with a huge Husky. This meant that my Guzzi didn't leave first gear for most of the ride.
Oddly enough, there were three Guzzis counting mine. Met a fellow with a V11 Rosso Corsa LeMans and another on a V7. There was also a fellow on another brand that said he just purchased a Stone V11 that the local shop was servicing. I mentioned to all three riders to consider Wild Guzzi and V11 LeMans boards.
I mentioned that we have a couple of rallies and occasionally lunch rides here in OKC-Tulsa area and neighboring states but warned them that some of us have turned into grouchy and feuding old men.
I have some photos I might post later.

Awesome to see the ride reports. Indy punched well above it's weight, earning 8th nationally from 159 rides.
170 bikes
raised $40,000.00
5 Guzzi's
EldoRATo
2 G5's
Jackal
V7III
The Jackal owner raised almost 3 grand all by himself. Good stuff.

Well done Kidsmoke. Sometimes I feel like men’s health is one of those terms like military intelligence, jumbo shrimp...
