Title: California windshield options
Post by: johnwesley on April 30, 2022, 08:32:40 AM
I’ve searched but haven’t pulled up much, looking for a summer shield for my 03 cal. It presently has the barn door shield that Guzzi use to sell and I would like a smaller shield for the hot humid summers around Arkansas. I’ve looked at the Puig shield that’s 13” it suppose to bolt to the headlight mount on some jap bikes but doesn’t give dimensions so unsure about fit. What small screens have y’all used on the cal ev ?

I am currently using Memphis Shades sport shields on my CalVin.  There are a variety of shapes and heights.
Four bolts and a hex key is all I need to swap windshields to match the season or ride.
Adapting a mounting bracket for Guzzi's is always a challenge.
The Calvin was "relatively easy".  I trimmed off the quick release fork slots and bolted the Memphis brackets directly to the OEM Guzzi mount.
EV's might be easier.  Given some thought one may be able to use most of the Memphis trigger lock setup.

So the key is to get the OEM Guzzi mounts for a Calvin and adapt from there. The 15” slim looks ice on the Memphis page.

Here’s the mount for the ev

The triples are the same but brackets are different. I’ll be on the hunt.

I've a Givi A600 on my Stone right now, but I've also used a modified MG police shield in the past.

I’ve got a very clean one that I’d love to trade for a set of brackets.

Best shield hands down on a EV!
