Title: In Search of... LMI, LMII, or CX100 seat
Post by: Mayor_of_BBQ on May 04, 2022, 08:55:21 AM
Hello all,

I am looking for a stock seat, or a stock recovered seat, or a stock seatpan for LMI,II,or CX100

I bought a CX100 and it has a Corbin than needs major surgery to be acceptable. I will get to it eventually but in the meantime I need a seat that's not a total eyesore and that my wife can ride pillion on...

Posted here instead of swapmeet for visibility, please move the thread or nuke it if not allowed Dan

Yes, I see MG Cycle and Stein Dinse have them in stock, but since this is a short-term solution I was hoping to find a used one

I just broke down and ordered a new one from MG Cycle, seemed the fastest option.

I have about 100,000 miles on my LM II seat, its the only seat that's ever been on the bike, and I've found it to be pretty good.  It works well with the standard riding position, spreading weight across the length of your thighs and allowing you to move around a bit.  I've done countless 500-600 miles days on mine.

Same with mine though I now use beads or sheep skin for long rides. I have the stock seats on the LMI and the CX, at one time I had the Gaman seat on the CX for about a week and then I ditched it as it was hard as a rock.

Everyone's arse is different. I rode a Gaman for many years. It was fine. Still have it.

I have a Corbin now, it's good too. Original? like a knotty pine 2x6  with splinters.

I must have gotten a bad one as it was a rock and two of my friends rode the bike and they thought the same thing as me.

I might have been enjoying the 948cc power and the tone of those BUB mufflers and didn't notice the pain in my ass
