Sad to hear YES drummer Alan White has passed.

One of my all time favorites. Played for a time in Focus, too, I think.

seen him many times. RIP

I'm not aware that he played with Focus.

Seen YES many times....most memorable was back in the late 70's 3 nights in a row. Hartford, CT ; New Haven, CT and Springfield, MA.
Alan's work on Tales from Topographic Oceans after Bruford was hard shoes to follow but he did a great job moving forward.

Agreed. Not 100% sure on the Focus gig, but I recall something from a long time ago................ ................... ....but not positive.
At any rate, a real talent.

Bruford was a master of syncopation and less as more. White had a drive and beat. Bill's been retired a few years but I think White was planning to be on a tour with some version of Yes. I've seen Bill with K Crimson and his own band at the Austin Armadillo.
