Title: Warning, Mistake...
Post by: Alfetta on May 31, 2022, 10:15:00 AM
I left the Guzzi in the garage this weekend...  Wife and I went with a couple of friends to spend 3 days riding on the Katy Trail.
Today I can hardly walk.

I'm with Huzo. I wouldn't have considered the trip unless a motor/engine was involved.

I "used" to ride the Katy often, It's a great resource we have here in the Sho-Me State. We live right off the Frisco Trail. The wife rides it every week a time or two.

Hi Al,                                                                                       6-3-22

I feel your pain.  I don't know if you are interested...but an e-bike is a consideration.  I certainly ride my Guzzi, but I have to admit, our Rad Bikes are just the thing when we want to ride into town, run errands, get some fresh air and a bit of exercise.  When we get a little tired, just twist the wrist and off we go!
Be well, Stay well,

DougG

I thought I'd start riding a push bike for fitness purposes recently but the uncaring cage drivers arond here soon dissuaded me.
At least on a motorcycle you can get away from them

I ride 4-6,000 miles on my bicycle yearly and the Katy Trail is a great path. Iowa has several good ones too. The reason so many struggle after a bicycle ride is that they try to be "weekend warriors" with little previous riding. We see the world so well from our motorcycle seats, but you experience it on a bicycle.

Different perspectives I think. Love them both!
