I have a line on what looks like an old Bub exhaust but the guy who owns it doesn't know if its really a Bub. I had one on my first Le Mans so I know what they look like but I don't remember if there is an identifier on it that denotes it's a Bub, and secondly if it's one that fits a LM1. Anyone know how I can authenticate it?

There's usually something stamped on the muffler mounting bracket.

I have two sets of BUB's They have a BUB stamp on them somewhere. Can't remember where??

Thanks guys, I've asked for better photos and see if he can find an Bub stamp anywhere on them. We'll see what he comes up with.

The black set on my CX is stamped BUB right near the bolt hole on muffler hanger bracket. Don’t think there’s any stamping elsewhere on pipes or anything.
The set of BUB chrome mufflers I used to have had CAL III stamped on the body of the muffler iirc with BUB stamped on the muffler hanger bracket.

they still work. a bit of repair welding was necessary.
Fresh coat of BBQ Black paint and 'glass repack. Good to go!
I prefer the Mistral system that replaced the BUBs. better "noise", better packing (SS).
