Hi all,
Haven't been here in a while. Does anyone out there know if the 2007 California 1100 "Vintage" needs tubes in the tires? Or does this model/year have those spoked wheels that will work without tubes?
Thanks!
Bill

Tubes

Yes has tubes unless changed by PO.

The CalVin all came originally as tube type, but it is common of some owners to do a tubeless conversion. look @valve stem carefully and you should be able to tell which.

Thanks so much. I am curious about how dependable the tubeless conversions are. I will research.

I used the Outex kit. Engineered by Japanese road racing dudes. However I didn't "grind my nipples" as recommended. It's worked well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikKeVNBAmQQ

Tons of posts on here about it that give a ton of background, products, tips, and tricks. I did it a few years ago on my 02 cali stone, and have been vary happy.

Thank you for the link--and I will do further research. I have to ask: I guess it's not easy, finding a tubeless wheel to replace the stock wheel on the Vintage? I think I read somewhere that an EV wheel wouldn't fit the vintage.

Very satisfied with my tubeless conversion. It take several steps and days to allow each application to cure.
Also I found that you clean up the seating surface of the tire bead of mold flash you will reduce slow leaks between rim and tire.
in two years I have not added air.
