The Mrs is interested in the MT-07 after the insurance seems to be signaling her Bike was totaled from the wrong way driver I posted about a few weeks ago.
She is doing good and starting to think about riding again and seems very attracted to the MT-07. We will see what develops. In the meantime feedback appreciated.

I owned a ‘15 FZ-07 for 3 years. It was a fun bike to ride, but keep in mind that it is definitely a budget bike.
I happily traded it for my ‘18 V7III Carbon Dark.
So much plastic and ‘fake’ details. Needed a seat concepts seat to be comfortable for day rides. The capability of the Suspension can be easily exceeded. I felt the need to install the lower cowling to hide the not so good looking exhaust.
The engine is amazing! If they would put the R7 suspension on the MT-07 they would have a nice bike.
Of course nothing a couple grand couldn’t solve. I guess I didn’t like it enough to spend the money getting it to where I wanted it to be.

I rode a friends 2017? on our favorite twisty road in Az. (Arivaca) It was a very impressive engine and seeing as I'm 240 the suspension was better than expected. Far better than a V7III. He claims gas mileage in the mid 60's. I'd buy one if the tank was bigger. 30,000 so far and bullet proof!

Oh yeah, forgot about the tank size. I was always running on "low fuel" light before I was ready to stop.

I turned it into a naked sport tourer and had a blast in the northwest.

Great bike, great engine, great mileage, great bargain, and you've gotta like that light weight. I almost got one instead of the Ducati Scrambler, and I suspect I might have liked it better. But everyone I know, without fail, seems to end up holding their thumb in front of it and squinting while trying to persuade themselves they like the looks.

Of course in Europe they get a touring version. https://www.cycleworld.com/yamaha-tracer-700/

Interesting about the touring version. She seems to be enjoying shopping so I’m just observing. I want her to get a bike she really likes. If I was involved I’d steer her a different direction as I love Guzzi and most Aprilia products( we all have our shortcomings). The mt-07 is serious contender at this point. Most places near us are out of stock however. Closest is hours away.
