Hello Folks, I thought my newly acquired 76 convert, had been modified with some type of Harley mufflers, but when going through all the paperwork, I find a receipt for Alphabet's headers mufflers for a Convert, and I noticed they are specifically made for the bike, having a centerstand stop built in. The mufflers are actually very quiet, but have a deep sound, with what appears to be steel baffling inside. They are a well made , heavy gauge set of slash cuts. I have decided to have them ceramic coated, or just paint them for now.

I vaguely remember the name from back in the 70's. Does anyone have any experience with these?
thanks

They look good, and if you like the sound... Score !

I think once cleaned up, and re coated or painted, they are going to be nice. At first, I thought they looked a bit odd, being quite long , with the slash cuts way behind the saddlebags, but they are starting to "grow on me" .

I had chrome Alphabet headers with long Bub megaphones on my first Convert back in '83. I still have a pair of Alphabet headers for a Loop.
