I have a 96 Cali 1100i. The tach is not working (just quit). My part, GU2976250, is listed for 94-97 California 1100i.
Part #GU03767200 is listed for the California EV from 97-2000I. I found one available. It is a different face color. Is this tach compatible with my 1100i?
Alternatively, any recommendations for tach repair?

I think I answered my own question - Guzziology has them as different sizes - the GU2976250 is 100mm, the GU03767200 is 80mm, so it wouldn't fit right (even if it is compatible electrically).
So - repair suggestions?

Foam or rubber weather stripping to take up the gap in the housing or trade it with someone off of the forum list.

Depends what is wrong with it but likely not worth a repair. Assuming its electronic its basically a voltmeter. The movement is very fragile and breaks easily. Speedos are different and may be worth repairing. Check out aftermarket ones. I made a new mounting plate for my EV to fit a aftermarket tach.

Like Tris suggested, Soeedhut is the way to go.
I put a speedhut tach in my EV, and it works flawlessly. Great company to deal with. I also installed one in a Cal II I had.

+1 on Speedhut. :thumb:

Thank you all. I'll see if Joel Levine can fix it, and if not, Speedhut for a replacement.
