Title: Parts Availability
Post by: kballowe on September 06, 2022, 06:36:26 PM
I'm sorta used to waiting on Guzzi parts, but I can usually get metric parts right away, especially for the common ones.

While trying to source a Yamaha air temperature sensor, I discovered zero availability.  They're extended backorder from the manufacturer.  Mind you, this part fits about 3/4 of Yamaha fuel injected motorcycles, and probably the majority of their wave runners.  It's a very common part.

Oh sure, it'll run without the sensor, but it throws an error code and the check engine light stays on.  I found the Wife sitting next to the bike, talking to it.   LOL maybe she misses it already....  In the meantime, I guess she'll just have to clean and detail it.

Part arrived, installed and fault code cleared.   Went for a little ride and it's happy.
