Title: Cali/EV under floorboard brake pedal
Post by: Ronkom on September 07, 2022, 09:16:50 AM
Wanted to buy: One of the custom brake pedals that fit under the right floorboard & move the pedal to the front of the board. They were being fabricated & available briefly. I understand the lawyers got involved re/liability issues about modifying a factory brake setup. I was lucky enough to get one when they were available & mount it on my old '98 EV. I found it MUCH safer, reducing the time to "get on" the linked brake in an emergency, and eliminating the momentary imbalance lifting the left foot onto the stub peg.
Thanks,

Interesting concept. Do you have a picture of the EV set up? I removed the heel peg and lengthened the stock pedal by welding a few extra inches and chroming. Gives my foot more room to move especially with a motorcycle boot.

Yes. I found one the day after I bought my first Guzzi, an '04 EV1100. Paid $100 for it and it was the best change I could have made to the bike. I took some pictures, thinking I might want to try and fab some more. Unfortunately, I sold all my shop equipment when I retired last year and moved.

Thanks to Burkslaw for the excellent pix, going back through my files I found I'd never shot a close up of that area of the bike. The pedal is visible in these two, but it was painted black & detail is hard to see.
