Title: 2.75 hours

So i decided to change the rear tire myself on the V7..  2.75 hours later in cleaning up !
man what a chore that is...  I used ratchet straps to hang the rear of the bike to the garage rafters. (yes sketchy I know, but the bike need to be HIGH to get the rear wheel out)
I spend most my time breaking the bead on the Bridgestone Battle-axe, being very careful no to mark the rims. Than i slid on the Dunlop 404... (I am hoping for more mileage for this shoe).

Then the re-mount and rubber bit dance could begin (not so easy when the bike is in dangling from the rafters...

But it's done, and now will see if the life of the Dunlop will be any better than the Bridgestone ...

I can  usually get my rear off, tired removed, new tire on, balanced, back on the axle, and everything tightened up under an hour on my V7II (aluminum mudguards and center stand really help).

2.75 hours very well spent. Any hour spent wrenching is a good hour in my book. I don’t think that is a huge amount of time for changing a tire by hand. Next time it will go much faster.

It took me the better part of 8 hours, breaking the bead was the hard part
new tire went on easy but then getting the wheel back in was a real bear, the rubbers from the cush drive kept falling out of place.

I'll give my buddy Dewayne $20.00 instead of jacking with that any day!

Any hour spent RIDING is a good hour in my book. NOT wrenching!

I always thought my v11 sport was one of the easiest shafts rear wheel removals.

The absolute easiest was my VFR800.

The V7 sport isn’t bad, the front is another story.

I’d say under 3hrs for a tubeless tire change ain’t bad.

My bmw rockster which I bought in '04 has had about 60 tires in its 300K miles. I change my own and have gotten it down to about 1 hour to remove both wheels change the tires clean and inspect the wheels for damage and bearings(frt only) balance if needed and reinstall.

Done without a jack using only the center stand.

I like to check the wheels for damage so I always do my own and I can do it at my convenience.
