Title: Hydraulic clutch travel
Post by: SemperVee on October 09, 2022, 05:34:10 PM: I know has been asked but is there other than at the lever, an adjustment further down that can change the engagement point on a 2V Norge? Is the only source of adjusting travel more inward by that little tit screw on the clutch lever? If there is I have not found the answer yet.

Thanks GJ - I'll try that first... Shifts fine, just would like more engagement travel instead of at the very end. *Unless this is the nature of the beast of Hydraulic clutchs?

You have to have play on lever for a hole to line up to refill cylinder to pump clutch again. Otherwise when it heats up it will have no gap it's like you have it partially activated. IT does change when hot, just like brakes.

Too bad it's not an 8V, they have 5 different rods going through the trans to activate the clutch.
It's supposed to be bled at least once a year.

This and it could be that you need an adjustment on the screw as well. A good bleed and you should have full engagement all the way thru the motion of the clutch.

Highly recommend adding a speed bleeder to the line, it makes bleeding a piece of cake.

Possibly true LR.
But bear in mind that fluid level has no direct effect on lever play, unless you’ve ingested air.
Plunger wear does though as you correctly state.
