RIP Killer.

He and Little Richard were childhood idols of mine. I dreamed of playing piano like them. Five minutes behind the keyboard and I knew it would never happen.

I saw Jerry Lee in a small nightclub in Denver not long after his troubles with alcohol and the IRS. He didn't look real well and was quite mellow but he put on a great show. He sure could tickle the ivories. His version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow was the absolute best. RIP Jerry Lee.

I saw that  I got to see Jerry Lee here in Springfield 2X @ a old place called Lurvey Auditorium, it was a real honest to God Honkey-Tonk. PERFECT SETTING!! You KNOW what Jerry Lee likes!!!

I don't do a lot of concerts, but saw Jerry Lee three times in the '80s and '90s. Twice in Hot Springs and once in Little Rock.
The guy put on an awesome show. Who would've thought he'd be the last man standing from Sun Records' group of Rockabilly revolutionaries?
