Title: Tommaselli throttle ...where do these parts go?

I've been chasing a problem where sometimes my cables stick after constant throttle requiring a small blip to release them. Lubricating the cables doesn't solve it. I took the throttle apart to clean it when I restored the Le Mans and suspect I didn't put it together correctly. Here's a picture of the parts...

I thought the large semi-transparent one goes inside the throttle assembly, not sure which side of the drum, but in any event when I try that it seems to make the throttle bind up. I put the black piece between the rubber grip and the outside of throttle body. Seems simple... what am I doing wrong?

Nothing goes in but the drum and pad for cruise control (friction operated). Grease tube & where cables hook up and cable ends.

A plastic disc that you're holding goes outside of the throttle assembly towards the throttle hand grip and the hand grip slides up against it to give you a semi-sliding piece between the rubber hand grip and the cable drum assembly so as you're sitting on the bike it goes to the right side of the throttle assembly over the twisting part then the hand grip goes on to give you a cushion and some sort of lubricated sliding effect

TOMB, I have the black plastic disk (it's just below the semi-transparent disk I'm holding) between the hand grip and the throttle body. From my pre-restoration pictures this looks correct. Looks right from my Barber Le Mans pics as well. It's the large semi-transparent one that is a mystery. I'm fairly confident it was part of the throttle/grip assembly, and it has witness marks on it that appear to line up with things.

Steve, I just sprayed a lot of Slick 50 One Lube inside and all around it so maybe that'll help. I lost the tiny rubber pad somewhere along the way... one of a just a couple parts that went missing, don't ever use the cruise control anyway.

If it IS Tommaselli, as mentioned, no disc inside the throttle assy.

To me, and as mentioned, it looks like two of the discs that are used between the grip and the throttle assy. to keep the grip from binding on the throttle assy..

Misunderstood... you're saying both disks side-by-side between the grip and the throttle body so they slide against each other, I'll try that, thanks.
