Title: The sport went tough at 1100
Post by: SandraEllis on November 04, 2022, 10:52:44 PM
Hello everybody. I only recently managed to get my bike up and running last fall. It's running a little crappy now that I've got it back out. Particularly at low revs, it is picking up off the throttle very poorly, missing, and stalling. Fuel is dripping into the throttle bodies and the plugs are completely black with soot. Even when I reset the tps, nothing changed. It actually got better once I simply unplugged the tps. The tacho has also broken down; however, it still moves off the stop when the bike is started and is normally moving in the right direction. Could there be a connection?

If fuel is dripping into the throttle bodies the injectors may need cleaning?

welcome to the board.  before you can get much help on the issue, some details would be helpful: model of bike, year of bike, miles on bike, was it sitting for a long period before you started running it again.  help us help you.

Actually secound thoughts get and can of contact cleaner pull all the relays under the passeger seat and clean the contacts, do the fuses as well, re-seat everything and go from there.
