Well shucks, I thought I’d watch on the web but it’s only allowed in the local area.
Not finding it on a Netflix or YouTube. Is it played anywhere else?

Nice Video. Wish I had Mr. Ropers stamina (and balls...Isle of Mann in the rain! Beyond my comprehension!) Makes me miss my track days.  While I never raced, I'd go to Jennings and Barber for track days every month. It gets pretty addictive.  I really got into it, but when I turned 55, just felt I no longer had the stamina to keep up.  Didn't want to just tool around with the novice group, so I gave it up.   Plus, riding a motorcycle on a racetrack gets expensive FAST!  Track fees, tires, transportation.  It makes golf and fishing look cheap! I noticed in the video, Mr. Roper said he'd never married.  Probably a prerequisite to life as a race junkie!  :thewife:

I met Dave in 1978 on a construction site we were both working on. He was the welder. He was racing a Silk at the time. Silks were based on the old Scott Flying Squirrels. I remember Dave saying that he wasn't the fastest bike on the straights, but made up for it in the twisties.
Still racing, dang!

Yes, that was fun.  Never intended to get on a racetrack, but now I can see the appeal.
