This is the day after Labor Day, 2020 in Cody, Wyoming. "Freak snowstorm", they said. After this, they got 18".
The weatherman is forecasting snow here - and some below zero temps for Thursday and Friday. Just in time for Christmas !

I rode my V7 Sport through the mountains from Knoxville to Spartanburg at Christmas in 94 and I looked very close to that by the time I was going through Maggie Valley on I-40. No plows had touched the road, pretty normal back then. There were at least 3-4 inches of nasty slush on 40 there and I had actual chunks on my legs and bike. I’m sure some passing vehicles got great pleasure from showering me with even more nasty as they went by me. Not the coldest ride ever but very easily the nastiest and most treacherous.
Sure was nice to come down off the mountain into SC into balmy 45-50F temps.

Some of my best trips I wouldn’t even remember if I’d been in a car. Washington pass in a blinding snow storm ,
14” of rain in ten hours in Louisiana. Couldn’t get any wetter. Out running tornados in Oklahoma. Parboiled in the desert. It’s all part of the fun..

We prefer to call it a character building experience.

True, John. Richard Bach once said, "A day not remembered is a day not worth living" You *remember* experiences like that. I remember many. To me, most motorcycle trips are memorable.. :thumb:
