At one point, I considered a Daytona collection instead of only a Moto Guzzi collection. I have a '93 Daytona 1000 and a '97 Daytona 1100 RS. Then I thought what other Daytona bikes for the collection? The Triumph Daytona and HD Daytona popped into my thinking. Any other bikes with Dayton as the model name? :boozing: :boozing: :boozing:

Triumph 500 Daytona or the newer 4cyl Daytona circa 95' 1200.?
Hey, you could buy a MGS01 to complete the set.
-
Triumph made Daytona's of multiple configurations, displacements, and years. I'd find a '95-'96 Super III Daytona, a '98 595 Daytona, a '04-06 955 Daytona, and a 675 Daytona of some sort.
Japanese Daytonas are a bit more interesting - Yamaha RD400 Daytona, and Suzuki made a T500 Daytona.
There has to be others.
For a proper Daytona Collection you need cars too.
Studebaker Daytona
Dodge Charger Daytona
Ferrari GTB4 Daytona

Ormond Beach Schwinn did a (very) limited edition Daytona Cruiser beach cruiser with some of the very last Made in Chicago real Schwinn 26” Beach Cruisers around 1981-82. Black frame, gold rims padded beach bars and Daytona Cruiser decals.
I had one as a chef in New Orleans in 94 (while my Guzzi was in SC…..) and have regretted leaving it behind ever since after I found how impossible it was to replace.

I had a Go Mango Charger Daytona, unfortunately it was a 2006.

The newer 1200 but then I did remember the 500. No on the MGS-01 because it was only a track bike. I was waiting on a street model. :boozing: I did buy a V11 Sport LeMans Corsa Nero however. Sport tourer that I maxed out speed wise going to Libby, Mt. and had it at the Moto Guzzi drowning MGNOC rally. :boozing: Still have that bike too.

True on the cars but no room for cars. I did consider the RD400 and I had a T500 Titan before the Daytona. Either one I'd buy. :boozing: The '68 Titan was my first bike. 2nd was the '72 GT750 in aquamarine.

i think Yamaha sold a RD400 labeled a "Daytona special"

Super III and 1200 SE are the two T300 series Daytonas to have.
The 955 Daytona in the T500 series is a really great motorcycle.
The 675 Daytona is a badass middleweight

As for Guzzis, there are some rare ones not imported to the USA which you could seek out.
Dr John Daytona 1000
Daytona Racing.

You must not have read the thread. Turin beat you to posting the RD 400. Thanks though.

Thanks. I already have 2 '93 Daytona 1000's. I thought about it but decided against the Daytona collection and went with filling out the sporting
LeMans line. If they badge a V100 as a LeMans then I'd have to buy one and get rid of some of the other bikes.

I've ridden this one. It seemed comfy enough and pretty fast, not scary fast, just good. More comfy and balanced than the Speed Triple.
Of all the Triumphs I've ridden, and I've ridden a few, this was my fav.

I'm glad that I didn't go for the Daytona collection. Too many Triumphs I'd have to buy and ship from San Diego.

Next time you are in AZ, I'll let you borrow my D1200. She's a big open class sportbike like the old Kawi ZX10/ZX11, Hon Hurricane 1000, Suzuki GSXR1100W.
