I opened up my 73 v7 Sport the other day. I’m not sure the timing gears are original. Can anyone ID these?

Cam gear appears to be standard Guzzi issue, but the crank and oil pump gears have either been modified or are aftermarket.

It’s good to remember that these bikes have real lives before we get them.

I collect and rebuild old outboard motors. I have found strange things to say the least. I recently scored an old Mercury racing motor which appears to have been actually raced. However the subsequent owner made some unusual modifications including a lawnmower engine carburator.

including a lawnmower engine carburator.
I put a carb off a Honda 450 twin on a four cylinder car I had a few years ago before injection took over. It worked as good as the original did. I had to make my own intake manifold ... but ... with a welder and a scrap iron pile anything is possible ! :thumb:

Pics! in high school I modified a '54 Johnson 5hp motor with a Merc carb with a velocity stack. Had it on a beat up A class hydro. I thought it went faster...

This is it. It was in pretty rough condition when I got it, I don't think anyone knew what it was. I got it at auction, I paid $46 for it. I could most likely get $1,000 for it at least. The tower and the gear case are the desirable parts.

This is the boat it is going on. This thread is drifting faster than a loose boat in a hurricane.
