What does the jury say to my clutch hub , It has worked and released well but should I try to dress it up with a file or in the mill or leave it alone .I would not try to cut the wear out completely but to try and take the sharp edges off , Being a convert it doesnt do much work , what have others done , thanks Ray

I wouldn’t bother and just ride it not using the clutch.
The one thing you absolutely should do is replace these 4 o rings. C, D & i

I've not had mine apart (thankfully), but if all worked well, I would leave it alone other than a good cleanup with mineral spirits or brake cleaner and a scotchpad or steel wool.
I only use my clutch at startup or when backing up the bike while running (parking space/garage), or while going between the high and low range.

Thanks guys and yes fotoguzzi I will be replacing all O rings seals and bearings. Ray

BTW, the housing with the o rings can be assembled 2 ways, only one of them will allow the fluid to flow so pay attention. You don’t want to have to find that out after it’s all back I’m the bike.

Thanks all , I think I might try and file some of the severity off of those marks , I can see if it gets much deeper Ill have the plates hanging up in the grooves , I would only use the clutch a few times in a days ride for backing up but eventually it may start and annoy me if the clutch didnt release cleanly so now would be easier than in 12 months , I will not try to eliminate the wear completely as it may make for a rattly clutch just a couple of licks with a file.

Yeah, knock some of the rough edges off, I personally do not use the clutch as if you do it will eventually shite the bed, shut off the engine to shift ranges or to park. I have like some, removed the lever and cable and only use high range as I don't require low range in my riding. If your worried about cutting the forward drive in an emergency situation, make sure your ignition cut out button is working and use that. DonG
