Hi guys, I've managed to break the oil ring whilst 're assembling the engine after a light make over.
The rings are no longer available to order from the factory, except as a complete piston/ring assembly, which is very costly.
Would any of you guys know which ring manufacturer makes the rings, plus where to purchase?
Thanks in advance.

Total seal call them talk to tec you want a molly or cast not crome 3 pice dia and thickness is what willbe asked.

Any ring manufacturer will need to know cylinder diameter, ring width and depth, as mentioned above in a non-chrome material due to the cylinder surface material, chrome on chrome action is not cool. DonG

The part number of the oil ring is 05061030/GU05061030. Doing a Google search of that number brings up a few possibilities.

Whether it's in stock at any of those listed is another thing.

I had Total Seal make a set for my '85 LeMans. Very easy to work with and not expensive.

I have used Chrysler 2.5L rings in 88mm cast bores, if I remember offhand they were + .5mm overbore, buy a set in chrome, moly or cast and you can service 2 engines fairly economically. DonG

I've already exhausted all the suppliers in Europe who specialize in Guzzi parts. No old stock floating around. Not available from the factory.
I'm approaching various ring suppliers in the UK, but most don't deal with Italian. Japanese/ British yes.
