Title: Vintage motorcycle show
Post by: Canuck750 on April 01, 2023, 07:40:43 PM
My local chapter of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group has put on our third annual display in Londonderry Mall here in Edmonton. The show is free to the public but we take donations for the local food bank. We have 50 motorcycles on display for two months, a wide variety of makes and periods

Thanks for the pics, Jim.  I love that pristine Ducati Regolarita- you simply never see those bikes.  Very cool.

I recognized most of those bikes, but what is the yellow bike in the foreground of the first picture?  I can't make out the placard.

Placard reads "TWIN TRACTION 500"
It's a Trail Partner Twin Traction 2x2 model made by Tredwell in Canada, very rare little Rokon-like bike.

Trail Partner Twin Traction 500, made in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada between 1968 and 1971. Full time 2WD from a 5hp Briggs and Stratton side valve. They made them in this 2 wheel version as well as a 3 wheel trike and a three wheel with a second trailing rear wheel. Company went bankrupt in 1971, very few are thought to survive. I may make an offer to buy it and restore it. The tires are the same as used on an Argo. This one came from a power line service company in northern British Columbia. Like a Rokon but small wheels and much simpler.

It’s a real cool Ducati, the owner has restored two of them, this blue one and its red twin found in a barn in Saskatchewan. It took Mike years to find all the NOS parts. I am always amazed what members in our local vintage group keep dragging out of barns and sheds around here.

That is a most impressive array of bikes.  You seem to be in a hotbed of dedicated collectors and restorers!

Whichever bike has the biggest puddle of oil wins.
