My negative battery cable lug just broke from metal fatigue. The good news is that it broke in my garage not in some God forsaken place!
Does anyone know where I can get just the connector? I have removed the old one but have no idea what the availability is.
I would prefer not to replace the cable as it looks difficult to remove. And will take forever to get...
Any help appreciated.
I guess it was sturdy, it lasted 10 years.

It won’t be too hard to remove surely.
You can get copper cable like what arc welders use and terminals that can be soldered on.
Then there are those woven copper straps about 3/4” wide that have the terminals already fitted. Why do you think it’ll be difficult to remove the old one ?

Dime a dozen on Amazon etc..

Or just walk into auto zone.

Auto Zone had zip, as usual
Got 2 connectors from a car stereo installer, just the right size.
I can set up the new battery so I can connect from the front instead of the top.
Thanks!

I just dealt with this. Please post a pic of the end result.

Even better is go to the local weld shop or electrical supply house and get a few feet of #2 high strand copper weld cable then stop off at the local home center and get a couple copper lugs and make your own hi-capacity cables and route them more conveniently.

Here is the finished product. The stereo connectors have smaller holes to fit the battery better.
And if you are rich you can get gold plated ones! The took solder very well. I moved them the front of the battery rather than the top.

No issues with fitting the seat?

No trouble with the seat touching. I also put some tape over the exposed bolts just to be safe.
The other thing I did was strap a large zip tie around the battery before installing. Now I can pull the battery out by pulling on the zip tie
Way easier.
