I can't address the black-out issue you mention but in past years I became so frustrated with TV coverage of Moto GP that I broke down and purchased the "official" Video Pass at the Moto GP website.  It seems pricey at around $160 a year but it works out to around eight bucks per event.  The coverage is fantastic, and the commentators are top notch.  The "no spoiler" option is my favorite way to view the entire weekend of practice, qualification, and races in all three classes.

fotoguzzi,

I'm in the central time zone and it's in my Youtube TV library under "events" for some reason. It also says it was recorded at 10:45, but it is the correct recording.

Cheers!

We live just a few miles south of the COTA track near Austin, and went to the event in person last year. It was amazing......bring earplugs!!!

thanks Craig. I’m waiting for a supervisor to email me with some answers, not holding my breath.

I tried the MotoGP pass yesterday and was plagued by frequent but subtle skips, noticeable in the narration but sometimes visible as well.

Fotoguzzi,

Please let us know if they take care of it. It would be nice to know there's a solution when something like this happens.

Cheers!

I understand one gets far more coverage with a subscription to MGP, but I just set up my VCR ( oh, those where the days) to tape the races, they are televasied on the NBC networks, pretty much without issue.  No you won't get all the lead up, but they do a good job of the main sunday race.  Perhaps record the network coverage as a back up?
