Title: Moto Guzzi stone 2003 with 120,000 kilometres
Post by: donp71 on April 27, 2023, 07:14:10 AM
Hello everyone

Back again after a bit of a break from Guzzi ownership
Looking at a 2003 California Stone , clean bike with 120,000 kms on the clock
Can you please give me some insight around key things to look for in terms of potential issues with the bike?

Have owned Le Mans MK5, Griso , Breva 1200 previously
Thanks
Don

I have an 03 Stone.
Get a tune up including,
TB balance
Check TPS settings
Check valve adjustment
Check spark plugs
Change fluids

If all of the above is within spec simply ride it like you stole it, it’s bulletproof 👍

If it is a Hydro motor, rocker arms are worn from poor oiling, odometer gear worn, clutch single plate, recalls.

Is that the one up the Sunshine coast? I had the same thought. He indicates recalls have been done which is a plus.
