Yep, I was all set to do it. Sell the beast and all it's accessories. Since with my eyesight no one seems to think I should still ride. I was gonna give it a nice cleaning to get it picture perfect. Take a short video of it running and post some pics of the bike and it's flaws (still best looking yellow one I've ever seen). Then the curse. I took it for a ride to warm it up and burn some fuel off. Yep, best f-ing motorcycle ever. Fit's me better than any bike I've ever been on including my old Bonnie. Yes it is loud with the Bubs, but the howl that comes out of them under acceleration and on backing off the throttle is visceral. Rides like it's on rails with the Avons. Appropriately named combination of man and beast.
So somebody will not be getting a great deal on a 92hp rear wheel dynoed Centauro GT that pumps adrenaline anywhere north of 5000 rpm. Actually does a pretty good job below that too.

I let my Ducati riding buddy take her for a spin and his comment was:
"WOW! It is a completely different motorcycle above 70mph!!"

Shouldn't you try some new glasses before you sell it? What's a few hundred dollars vs. a lifetime of regret? :evil:

I'm starting to regret selling mine,I think I enjoyed riding it more then my Buell, it just fit me better.

Centauro’s are great all around bikes.
I had one for close to 20 years and parted with it last year. Sold it to a friend who really wanted one.
I would buy another if I could part with some more of the bikes I currently own.

After the cataract surgery I don't need glasses for distance with my left eye, the right eye has been shot for a long time with optic nerve damage from a car accident at 16 which helped end my aspiring high school baseball career. The glaucoma doesn't help with the blind spot it created in the already bad right eye. The big issue was the massive pressure spike in both eyes last August which left me blind for about a day until heavy meds brought the pressure down. Unfortunately, damage is not reversible with current medical capabilities.
That along with the perception that motorcycles are dangerous for those with two good eyes, so with only one good eye......

If you have the gears & oil pump ride it like you stole it. They are fun, a different kind of feel than the newer 4V.

He is having cataract surgery very soon so he should be ok, but until now, I almost always ride in front and at (almost always) legal speeds.
I don’t go into situations that will cause him to feel unduly pressured and for sure he is just fine most of the time.
Point is…
With me in front , we can ride with a bit of verve and he can be confident that there is no anomaly on the road that he has missed due to his vision. We still have a great time without him stupid taking stupid risks.
His first eye will be done in 3 weeks and second, a month later.
I accept that it’s not an ideal situation for you, but if you go with another trusted rider, you will still get a major amount of fun from the Centy.
It’ll kill you to sell it.
Let them do that when you’re dead…JJ.

Not what I would have done, but looked markedly different.
That was definitely a trend for awhile to remove some of the excess plastic body work. I like it but definitely do not have the skills for that.

Yeah it's got a gear and oil pump in it. The original. Couldn't find a good cheap mechanic around here anymore. Seems he moved south for some reason.

I know of 2 others that have everything to do job but no wrench up there that can put the stuff in. My loving wife won't allow me to come up for that work. I have to watch he dogs on weekend, she can't seem to retire like me.
