Post by: arveno on May 10, 2023, 08:19:48 AM

Hello everyone

my new to me 2004 cafe sport has a rear shock ( Ohlins) that is leaking oil from the main shaft.

Does anyone knows someone that rebuild them?

also do you know the model number of the rear shock ?
Thank you so much
Marco

Ohilins USA is in North Carolina. Why go to the Chevy garage to have your Ford serviced?

Ohlins makes it very easy. Give them a call then fill out a form with some info and send the shock and the form to them. This is also a great opportunity to have the shock re-sprung (if needed) for you weight and built/valved for how you ride.

Because he rides, helps people in many ways free of charge and it's what they do. Rick(the owner) is a great guy.

Then there is the fact they are certified by Ohlins for repair work....

Actually there are factory trained independent techs.  My local guy went to Ohlins training and is one of them.  He rebuilt the Sachs shock on my V11 Sport, in the process I found we also have a local company that actually builds shocks.

So far as the facility in NC,  I believe it's now owned by Andreani and they service and distribute many brands including Ohlins.

My point, you might have a local guy that can do the job but if you don't, regardless of brand of suspension, you might give Andreani a call.
