John, I'm looking forward to it again this year. Always is a good event.

Right around the corner...
I'm planning on going - will be my first time there.
Who is else going?
-
I'll be there with six or seven of my friends. :D

Grand Marais is such a nice location. My wife and I remember with fondness going to the MN rally...must be almost 17 years ago? And she won 'youngest rider'. LOL.
it's not going to work out for us (again) this year, but retirement is coming up sooooooon.
John- thanks for your many, many years of support for Moto Guzzi riders!

Jason, Thanks!

I hope he writes a trip report

Scott Shannon got bumped off the mileage board by Bill Lovelady. Both from Washington, Bill’s been riding all over Gods green earth for over 6,000 miles+ to get here.
Kevin Nyberg from SC always puts up a strong number but not good enough this year. Poor Roger Pritzel from CO found his normal winning mileage number is multiples behind.
Beautiful weather.

I'll let the big dogs get the award this year. The year I got long distance I made a mistake and took a right when I got to Chick-a-go (she-cow-go) and went up thru Michigan and around Lake Superior.
Enjoy the cool weather,
Tex

Weather was good until we left early Sunday, rain and fog, then high winds from all directions crossing the big bridge in Duluth.I was reminde of Tom Canute who went across the Mackinac bridge to many rallies from Petoskey.when returning over that bridge in high winds the bridge was swaying and atTom said he would ride around thru WI and Chicago before doing that again.Inwas never so scared on a motorcycle before being shaken from side to side with a death grip on the bars on that bridge.Otherwise a great rally, took a lunch ride on the Gunflint trail trying to keep Dick Cooter in sight.

I did not escape bad weather by leaving Saturday morning. I only got to Bemidgi before heavy rain put me in a hotel about noon.
I got a good start Sunday morning but still endured 150 miles of rain in North Dakota. By Minot, it was all good and I spent the night at Theodore Roosevelt N.P.- North Unit. It was very nice, hardly anyone there.
As of right now, I am breakfasting in Missoula and will get to Seattle just in time for the rush hour.
My last 20 miles will be the worst of a 10,000 mile trip. As it always is.
