Morning all,
Bought a 2019 V7 III stone yesterday to keep my V85TT company. Came well equipped with Mistrals, bar risers, gel seat, givi fairing, new IKONs and H&B soft bags (Im looking to sell these if anyone wants them) 3700 miles
Gives a good ride and the Mistral adds some punch and nice sound. At 6'2 Im not actually that cramped, I did see where someone said the motoworks foot lowering kit for the Honda CB500x fits, I may try them for added comfort.
Here she is in blue.

Congratulations.
For the 2 years I spent researching and hunting for my V7III my major concern was differing opinions on the size, being at 6'1". For me, I see no problem with the size. In fact I think it is about perfect. Not as comfortable as my EV, but easier to maneuver in rougher terrain at low speeds
Ton of character for a modern motorcycle. Competes with my R69 for the goto ride.

Thanks, my only concern about the matte blue is it seems to scratch easy, my tan/gold V85TT seems more durable. Was out earlier today, it cruises fine at 80mph.

I also recently bought a V7III, a 2020 Racer. I never thought I'ld be satisfied with a small block but this bike doesn't disappoint. Of coarse the Racer model isn't a long distance touring model but I have a 2008 Triumph Sprint ST to handle that duty.

I agree, for a small block engine, it works! Cruises at 80ph. Now if I could find a windscreen thats doesnt kill me with an open face helmet on :violent1:

Congrats on the new ride! I found that a Dart Piranha was just enough to get some wind off my chest while leaving my head in clean air. I also put stiffer springs in the forks to complement the stiffer Hagon shocks I installed.

Good to know about the Dart, Ive also seen a few Puigs and a real nice Rizoma custom made for this model but about 170-.

Congratulations Dave
Yea , I don't think anything gets good fuel millage at 80 mph , but it's nice to have the ability on hand sometimes.
I've had the thought to clear-coat my fuel tank if I ever have it off the bike , but after having it for five years and near 40,000 miles there hasn't been a reason to pull the tank yet !
Hay , I fitted a "Memphis Shield" to my V-7II when I got it and have been pleased with it for a long time. Any of the handlebar mount shields should work for ya. RE has a fork mounted shield that might even be better ?

I ended up with the yellow/orange paint gas tank. Paint seems tough, not a visible scratch. I don't know what previous owners did to protect it, I just use a product called Rejex.
As to windshields I have never found a small windshield that didn't disturb the wind more that protect. My V7 came with a Dart, I don't notice a difference with it on or off. If I decided to tour on my v7 I would see if I could mount my wixom fairing.
The only upgrades I did to mine were bar end mirrors and engine guards. Previous owners had already added the center stand and H&B luggage. The OEM mirrors disturbed the wide open spaces.

Im also told windex can be used on matte finish. Plus im sure theres more expensive cleaners that may or may not have the same effect

Did you get that at Razee's? If so, that's my old bike.

Congrats on the excellent purchase. Knight Designs makes 1" lower pegs and you can get em at Af1 Racing. Big improvement in comfort for those with long legs.

Guilty! This must be Dave L.
I felt bad she had been there for a while so I figured 2 Geese are better than one. ;)
Nice bike!

Ive heard of them and hear they are good but a bit on the pricey side, someone else said motowerx makes a lowering kit for the honda cb500x that works great and is easy to install for about $50-
Ill see how things go-thx

Yeah, that's me lol That seat is off of a V7-850. It's the +1 comfort seat.

I like it, its comfortable. I actually have some minor back issues (crooked sacroiliac) On my V85TT I added a gel pad which also adds about 1/2"

I’ve had a matte black tank for 10 years and it’s never been scratched. I think that the matte finish is actually resistant compared to shiny.

Congrats, and welcome to the club of V85TT and V7III owners.
I may be wrong on this, but I believe the matte finish tanks do indeed have clearcoat on them. It is just a matte finish clearcoat.

Thanks-You are correct, its a matte clearcoat, same as on my V85tt.
Fun x 2

Congrats on the nice bike. Other than the intermittent starter button making contact or not, i love my 2021 V7 850 Centenario!

Thanks Bob,
So far all is good except for the fact that my RH side Mistral tailpipe fell off yesterday, I actually went back and found it on the roadside. Too bad its beat up.
Looking to find 1 in hopes of not having to buy a set

I have the SW-Motech adjustable pegs, and have them set as low as they can go while also set slightly back. I'm not very tall, but still prefer more leg room than stock, and I find them quite comfortable
