I've been playing around with the front end of the project California 1100. I lowered the gauges, reversed the headlight mounts, removed the giant horn bracket and added the spots and huge signals.

I moved the horns to the crash bar bracket

Is it overkill ?
Anywhere but America I’d say yes.
Very Pee Wee Herman…. :thumb:

I like it.
Not overkill if it prevents someone from turning left in front of you. :thumb:

Yeah, not quite the look I was going for :cheesy:

You’ll want a visor on the rear facing lights or it would blind me at night. Front visors too. I would use relays. I like them for reliability even if don’t need em for the load.

Check fender clearance on the horns. Ifirrc they can contact the fender when springs are compressed and the bars are turned . I don’t remember the scenario exactly but watch for it.

I think it's going to look great.

Like it! Maybe smaller turn signal lights. Are you running the headlight ears upside down on purpose?

Larry, yes I swapped them around to see how they would look. I prefer them like that.
I had ordered the three inch lights, but they sent 4 inches instead, so I decided to try them.

Are you trying to scare small children?

Hee hee, at least make them look up from their screens!

Have you been checked for Quadrophenia?

I'd want to examine if the lights are too close together. If it blends into a big mess of washes out the indicators at distance it may well not accomplish your goal.

When people quit running into emergency vehicles with lights and sirens flashing then I'll believe that adding more light will stop people from turning left in front of you. While adding lights (within reason) to the bike likely does no harm it probably does not do as much as you may think as far as safety goes.

I should probably get checked, cause every now and then I swear I can hear Billy Idol screaming "more, more, more!"

It’s amazing what that extra inch can achieve…

This.
Yep, sometimes extra visability can influence an impaired driver to target fixate on you.
